Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) is a public charitable trust registered under the Societies Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust Act. SVKM has always been committed to the cause of providing high quality education at various levels. After beginning its journey in the early 1930’s, SVKM has blossomed into an educational colossus that has attained national recognition in multiple streams of higher education.

SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, also well known as UPG College, was established in 2003. In its journey during the past 18 years, it has grown in strength from 150 students from its inception to a total strength of 1780 students today. Under the affiliation of University of Mumbai College offers undergraduate and post-graduate programmes like Mass Media, Management and Information technology. The college is listed in first top ten for the graduation course in mass media. College has very active placement cell that provides excellent placement (for the IT department). College is popular for its cultural, sports and drama activities, infrastructural facilities, and social media presence.

IT Department of UPG College provides undergraduate and post graduate programmes. In past decade department had organized many events such as ‘Techvanza’ to groom the students in all directions.  One day national conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Digital Technologies-2020 (ETDT – 2020)” organized in year 2020, was a huge success. To groom the research culture in youngsters, International Conference on Emerging Trends in Digital Technologies (ICETDT) has become our annual research activity. ICETDT-2024 is our fourth international conference in this series which will be held on 24^th February 2024.

The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. It was established in 1857 consequent upon “Wood’s Education Dispatch”, and it is one amongst the first three Universities in India. As a sequel to the change in the name of the city from Bombay to Mumbai, the name of the University has been changed from “University of Bombay” to “University of Mumbai”, vide notification issued by the Government of Maharashtra and published in the Government Gazette dated 4th September, 1996.The University was accorded 5 star status in 2001 and ‘A++’ grade status in April 2017 and also re-accredited with A++ Grade (CGPA 3.65) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 3rd Cycle in 2021. It has two campuses of areas 243 acres and 14 acres at Vidyanagari and Fort respectively; sub-campuses/centers at Ratnagiri 20 acres, Thane 6.50 acres and Kalyan 6.26 acres with 60 University Departments and Institutes and 749 affiliated colleges. It has established its name in industrial and international collaborations and runs various professional courses.

The Department of Information Technology (UDIT) was started in 2001 with a vision “ To create next generation research and innovation led University Department”. On commencement, the Department came up with a unique three years under graduate programme as B.Sc. in Information Technology. Later in 2004 a post graduate programme as M.Sc. in Information Technology was introduced. Under NEP 2020, the department has started three specialized degree programs namely M.Sc. (IT-Artificial Intelligence), M.Sc. (IT-Cloud Computing), M.Sc.(IT-Security). The department has two PG Diploma programs on Block Chain technology and Cyber Security, Law and Forensics. The department has conducted the DST PURSE Sponsored IT Summit on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality, International Open Educational Resources (OER) Week Celebration, DST PURSE SPONSORED Interdisciplinary Research Project.

The Organizing Chairs of the conference, feel honoured to invite you for the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Digital Technologies (ICETDT-2024) scheduled on 24^th February 2024. ICETDT-2024 is a flagship event of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce to create a collaborative platform for bringing together technical experts across Industry, Academia and Professional Bodies to promote Innovation in digital and Information Technologies. The full-length papers will be limited to maximum six A-4 pages (IEEE format) which will be considered for the publication in the conference proceedings after the thorough review. Please mail a soft copy of your original and unpublished manuscript in prescribed (.docx) format to icetdt2024@gmail.com and also upload to EasyChair paper submission link: https://easychair.org/cfp/icetdt2024.

All papers submitted to the conference will be reviewed by the experts in relevant areas and reviews will be forwarded to the authors. ICETDT-2024 does not allow any form of plagiarism. The submitted papers are checked for the plagiarism. Research Papers with plagiarism 10% or less will only be considered for the review process. It is suggested to check your paper for plagiarism before the submission.

All accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings with ISSN. Best amongst accepted papers will be sent to the Scopus indexed International Journal of Information Technology (BJIT), Springer publication. Those papers will be further reviewed by the journals. The paper will be considered for the publication in the journal after acceptance and fulfilment of the terms and conditions of the journal.

The participants may present their papers in either online or offline mode. The maximum time given for the presentation is 10 minutes.

For online mode, paper presentation will be arranged on MS-Teams virtual platform. You have to submit your presentation slides as per the instructions given by the conference team.

For online presentation participant must arrange:

• Laptop with headset/ Desktop with Webcam and Microphone/headset
• Updated Chrome Browser

Participant will receive the certificate only after presenting the research paper in the conference. Participants will receive a soft copy of the Conference Certificate (mentioning Presenter/Listener), and Proceedings on their registered email address after the conference.
